Mother’s Day Giveaway

All monetary amounts herein are calculated in Canadian dollars.

1. Eligibility:

The contest is open to legal residents of Canada who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Directors, officers, agents and employees of Laura Canada and all of their respective parent companies, affiliated entities and divisions, and members of the aforementioned individuals’ respective immediate families (for the purpose of the Contest, immediate family includes, children, siblings, spouse and parents) domiciled in the same household, are not eligible to enter. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.

2. Agreement to Rules:

By participating, the Contestant agrees to be fully, unconditionally bound by these Rules, and represents and warrants that they meet all eligibility requirements. In addition, they agree to accept the decisions of Laura Canada as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.

3. Contest Period:

Entries will be accepted online starting on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. [Eastern Time] and ending Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. [Eastern Time].

4. How to Enter:

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to enter for a chance to win one (1) $500 Laura e-gift card and one (1) spa package from AmeriSpa (valued at $490). Participants must 1) Follow @laurapetitesplus and @Amerispa_inc on Instagram OR @lauracanada and @amerispa on Facebook 2) Like and save the post 3) comment on the post by telling us in the comments: “What advice has your mother given you that you keep close to your heart?” by the entry deadline. The winner will be drawn at random. One entry per person, per post. Participants must have a Facebook or Instagram account to participate.

5. Prize:

Laura is giving away one (1) e-gift card valued at $500 (five-hundred dollars) and one (1) AmeriSpa Mother’s Day “A Dream Day” spa package (valued at $490). The e-gift card is to be redeemed online or in store. The AmeriSpa spa package must be redeemed at your nearest AmeriSpa location from your address. The total prize value during the seven-day period is $990.

No substitutions, refunds, transfers, or cash equivalent will be allowed. Gift cards are subject to certain terms and conditions, which are set out on the gift cards. In the unlikely event that the Prize should become unavailable or unredeemable, Laura Canada reserves the right to substitute an alternative prize which is reasonably determined as being of equal value.

6. Odds:

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. Content Restrictions:

The Submission must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement; The Submission must not disparage Sponsor, Host or any other person or party affiliated with the Contest;
The Submission must not contain brand names or trademarks other than those owned by Sponsor, which entrant has a limited license to use to incorporate in his/her Submission in this Contest; The Submission must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
The Submission must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and
The Submission must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any province/territory.

8. Winner Selection and Notification:

For purposes of awarding the Prize, a random draw will be conducted at the Head Office of Laura Canada in Laval, Québec at approximately 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on May 13, 2024. The draw will select the Prize Winner from amongst all the eligible entries received by the Entry Deadline.

For the purposes of claiming the Prize, the Prize Winner will be contacted by Direct Message on Facebook or Instagram by Laura Canada within twenty-four hours of the draw (“The Claim Date”). If the selected Prize Winner cannot be reached by the Claim Date, Laura Canada shall have no liability for the Winner’s failure to answer. If the Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within forty-eight (48) hours from the time award notification, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize is considered forfeited, and an alternate Winner will be selected. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this Contest is conditional upon compliance with any and all federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations. By accepting the Prize, the Winner agrees to Laura Canada use of his/her name, city/province/territory of residence, biographical information, statements, voice and likeness in any advertising and publicity Laura Canada may conduct relating to the Contest in any media or format, whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the Internet, at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT LAURA CANADA‘S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS WINNER OF THE CONTEST, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

9. Reception of Prize:

The winner is not entitled to a refund for any costs incurred during the reception or use of the prize. Neither the prize, nor any of their components may be returned, exchanged, or refunded, in whole or in part, under any circumstance.

10. Verification of Entries:

The validity of any Contest entry is subject to verification by Laura Canada. Any incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected. Any individual who enters or attempts to enter the Contest in a manner, which is contrary, or by its nature is unjust, to other entrants or potential entrants will be rejected and that offending entrant will be disqualified.

All decisions of the Contest judges, who may be employees or independent contractors of Laura Canada, with respect to any and all aspects of the Contest, including without limitation the eligibility or disqualification of entrants or entries, are final and binding without right of appeal.

11. Disputes:

As a condition of participating in this Contest, the participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Québec having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees.

12. Acceptance of the Prize:

The Prize must be accepted as described in the Official Rules and cannot be transferred to another individual, substituted for another or exchanged in whole or in part for cash or credit.

13. Miscellaneous:

Laura Canada is not responsible for any losses or damages resulting from the awarding of any of the prizes in the Contest. Laura Canada makes no express or implied warranties of any kind with respect to safety or performance of any prize.

14. Release and Exclusion of Liability:

By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees:

a) To release, discharge, and forever hold harmless each of the Sponsors, and their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, agents and other representatives from any and all claims, actions, damages, demands, manner of actions, causes of action, suits, debts, duties, accounts, bonds, covenants, warranties, indemnities, claims over, contracts and liabilities of whatever nature or kind arising out of, or in connection with the entrant’s entry, entrant’s participation or attempted participation in the Contest, compliance or noncompliance with the Official Rules and acceptance and use of any prize or subsequent prizes or any portion thereof; and

b) If selected as a potential Prize Winner, to sign Laura Canada’s form of Declaration and Release.

Laura Canada will not be responsible for lost, incomplete, late or misdirected entries or for any failure of the Contest website or app during the Contest Period, or for any technical malfunction or other problems with, any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software or for any technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or app, or any combination of the foregoing, and will not be liable for any resulting injury, death or damage to any person or property arising from, or relating to, that person’s or any other person’s participation or attempted participation in the Contest.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or app or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and, should such an attempt be made, Laura Canada reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

15. Administration:

Laura Canada and its agents are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by entrants, printing errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Laura Canada reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be: (i) tampering with, as applicable, the entry process or otherwise with the operation of the Contest (including, but not limited to, the use of automated computer programs or any non-human mechanism, entity, or device), any web page or web banner ad related to the Contest; (ii) acting in violation of the Official Rules; (iii) acting in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, harass, harm, mislead, or defraud any other individual or entity; or (iv) otherwise in violation of law. Any person attempting to defraud Laura Canada or in any way tamper with the Contest will be ineligible to win a prize and Laura Canada will seek all remedies available to it, including, if appropriate, filing appropriate complaints with legal authorities. If, for any reason, the Contest or any website (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted, or is not capable of running as originally planned, or does not allow the proper playing of the Contest and processing of Contest entries in accordance with the Official Rules, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in Laura Canada’s opinion, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest or the granting of a prize or any component thereof, Laura Canada reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest or any portion thereof and to conduct the judging and award the Prize from all eligible, salvageable Contest entries received (if any), prior to and/or after (as appropriate) the action taken by Laura Canada or otherwise in a manner that is fair and equitable as determined by Laura Canada.
